Many alumni of the School perform in the Cirque Eloize latest cration, iD, presented in the Montreal Old Port until July 31, 2010.
Jean-Philippe Cuerrier (2001), Nicolas Fortin (2010), Leilani Franco (2008), Catherine Girard (2001), Hugo Ouellet-Côté (2009) and Fletcher Sanchez (2009) are part of the creation directed by Jeannot Painchaud (1992), co-founders, Executive & Artistic Director of the company.
For its seventh creation, Cirque Éloize delivers a truly daring and modern show. iD, supported by a thrilling soundtrack and featuring the use of multimedia, takes place in a world where breakdance, hip-hop and circus arts work in harmony. iD brings you into a surreal megalopolis, a public place where you can take refuge, where you can emerge from anonymity to express your indiviDuality and affirm your iDentity.
True to its artistic approach, the troupe brings to the stage 15 artists of many nationalities, and 10 circus disciplines in a playful and decidedly urban world.
Created and premiered at the recent Global Fair and Festival 2009 in Incheon, Korea, the show was acclaimed by the public during more than 80 performances over three months.
